Shipping Policy

At A Little Love Bookshop, we partner with Australia Post to provide reliable shipping straight to your door. Below is our shipping policy:

Processing & Delivery

Orders are processed within 2–3 business days. During peak periods (such as major sales or the holiday season), processing times may be slightly extended.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a separate shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number. Please note that your order confirmation email is not your shipping notification — keep an eye out for the dispatch email to start tracking your parcel.

We use Australia Post for all shipping. We happily deliver to PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers within Australia. All orders are shipped without signature on delivery, so your parcel may be left in a safe location if you are not home.

Domestic Parcels (Within Australia):
‱AusPost Standard Shipping: 2–6 business days
‱AusPost Express Shipping: 1–2 business days

International Parcels (New Zealand):
‱AusPost Standard Shipping: 5–10 business days

Domestic Shipping (Within Australia)

We offer a $9.99 flat rate for standard shipping on all orders within Australia.

Free Standard Shipping is available on domestic orders over $75 — no code needed!

Need your books in a hurry? We’ve got you covered with Express Post. Rates are calculated by parcel weight:

‱ Up to 250g: $12.70
‱ 250g – 500g: $14.65
‱ 500g – 1kg: $19.25
‱ 1kg – 3kg: $23.80
‱ 3kg – 5kg: $31.80

International Shipping (New Zealand)

We now ship to New Zealand with Australia Post! Standard international delivery (approx. 5–10 business days) is available for all NZ orders, with rates calculated at checkout based on weight:

‱ Up to 250g: $15.49
‱ Up to 500g: $18.67
‱ Up to 1kg: $25.08
‱ Up to 1.5kg: $31.49
‱ Up to 2kg: $37.91

Free Standard Shipping is available on New Zealand orders over $150 — no code needed!

Pre-Orders

Pre-order items are charged at the time of purchase and will be dispatched once the item is in stock and ready to ship. Estimated dispatch dates are listed on each pre-order product page; however, please note that release dates are set by publishers and are subject to change outside of our control. We will notify you if there is a significant delay to your pre-order.

If your order contains both in-stock items and a pre-order item, we will ship your in-stock items immediately and dispatch your pre-order separately once it becomes available. Please note that this may result in two separate shipments and two tracking numbers.

If you wish to cancel a pre-order before it has been dispatched, please contact us at hello@alittlelovebookshop.com.au and we will be happy to assist.

Lost or Delayed Orders

Once your order has been shipped, the most accurate delivery information will come directly from Australia Post. Please use your tracking number to monitor your delivery through their tracking portal. 

If your package hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe, Australia Post’s customer support can assist with further tracking and resolution. However, if your parcel is officially declared lost in transit, or if you need additional help navigating a delay, please contact us at hello@alittlelovebookshop.com.au and we will work with you to find a solution.

Please note: We are not responsible for non-delivery or delays caused by an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided at checkout. Please double-check your details before completing your order.


Undeliverable Parcels

If Australia Post is unable to deliver your parcel and it is returned to us (for example, due to an incorrect address or an uncollected parcel at the post office), we will contact you to arrange re-shipment. Please note that re-shipment costs are at the customer's expense.


Packaging

We take care to pack every order securely, including extra padding for fragile items such as candles and accessories. While we do our best to ensure your order arrives safely, please be aware that we cannot guarantee against all damage that may occur during transit. If your item arrives damaged, please refer to our Returns & Refund Policy.

Returns & Exchanges
